Selection Sunday show time: TV channel, schedule for NCAA March Madness program
The conference tournaments are finally over. It's nearly time for March Madness.
First, the committee will decide which teams will be chosen for the NCAA Tournament on the men's and women's sides.
After losing to Tennessee in the Southeastern Conference tournament Friday, the Texas men will watch intently Sunday to see if they're among the 68 teams selected. Vic Schaefer's team, however, probably locked up a top-two seed despite losing to South Carolina 64-45 in the finals of the SEC tournament. Texas women's basketball lost three times this year, once to the Fightin' Irish and twice to the Gamecocks.
Texas A&M's men fell to Texas in a thrilling double overtime game 94-89, while the women were decimated by Tennessee 77-37 in the first round. The Aggies men were a lock before their tournament began while the Aggies women needed a tournament title to make the Big Dance.

The men's NCAA Tournament Selection Sunday show airs nationally on CBS. The women's NCAA Tournament Selection Sunday show will air on ESPN.

March Madness men's NCAA tournament schedule
The 2025 men's NCAA Tournament begins Tuesday in Dayton, Ohio at UD Arena with the First Four. The Final Four is April 5 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, with the national championship game on Monday, April 7.
Here is the full schedule breakdown for the 2025 men's NCAA Tournament:
- First Four: Tuesday, March 18 through Wednesday, March 19
- First round: Thursday, March 20 through Friday, March 21
- Second round: Saturday, March 22 through Sunday, March 23
- Sweet 16: Thursday, March 27 through Friday, March 28
- Elite Eight: Saturday, March 29 through Sunday, March 30
- Final Four: Saturday, April 5
- National championship game: Monday, April 7
March Madness women's NCAA tournament schedule
The 2025 women's NCAA Tournament begins Wednesday with the first set of First Four games. The Final Four will occur on Friday, April 4 in Tampa, Florida at Amalie Arena, with the national championship game two days later on Sunday, April 6.
Here is the full schedule breakdown for the 2025 women's NCAA Tournament:
- First Four: Wednesday, March 19 through Thursday, March 20
- Round of 64: Friday, March 21 through Saturday, March 22
- Round of 32: Sunday, March 23 through Monday, March 24
