Rosters announced for Three-Class Shootout in Salem on March 29
Mar. 24—SALEM, S.D. — Rosters were announced on Sunday for the 37th annual Three-Class Shootout prep all-star game, featuring some of the top senior basketball players from South Dakota on the court at McCook Central High School in Salem on Saturday, March 29.
The event will feature four games plus a boys dunk contest. Class AA and Class A girls will play at 1 p.m. with the winner facing the Class B girls at 2:30 p.m. The Class AA and Class A boys play next at 4 p.m. with a dunk contest following the conclusion of that game. The winner will also face the Class B boys at 5:30 p.m. in the last game of the event.
On the girls side, area players include Lauren Van Overschelde (Mitchell) in Class AA; Lydia Yost (Wagner) in Class A; and Kaylie Robinson (Sanborn Central/Woonsocket), Alexa Goertz (Sanborn Central/Woonsocket), Lauren Ziebart (Parkston), Mya Thuringer (Parkston) and Josie Brouwer (Andes Central/Dakota Christian) in Class B.
On the boys side, Mitchell's Markus Talley and Gavin Hinker were selected to the Class AA squad. McCook Central/Montrose's Mason Sabers was selected for the Class A team, while Howard's Luke Koepsell and Gregory's Cruz Klundt were selected for the Class B squad.
