Hall of Fame softball coach Robert Iamurri reached yet another milestone Tuesday with his 500th victory at Florida SouthWestern State College.

FSW (35-1), ranked No. 1 in the NJCAA National Rankings, swept a doubleheader from Hillsborough 6-2 and 9-0 at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers to give Iamurri his 499th and 500th wins with the college.

Iamurri, who started FSW's program in 2016, improved to 500-59 all-time with the Buccaneers, an .895 winning percentage. He's guided FSW to three consecutive NJCAA national titles (2021-23) during his tenure and has helped develop 19 national All-Americans.

Prior to his arrival at FSW, Iamurri compiled a legendary three-decade career as a high school softball head coach, 29 of which he spent at Naples High. He departed with a state-record 817 wins and 13 state championships. Iamurri was inducted into the Florida High School Athletic Association's Hall of Fame in 2010.
