Led by president Chad Brinker, general manager Mike Borgonzi and head coach Brian Callahan, the Tennessee Titans sent a huge contingent to see top quarterback prospect Cam Ward work out at his pro day in Miami on Monday and watched him put on a show.
According to all the reports coming out after the event, everyone was beyond impressed by Ward, and he could very well end up as the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL draft. But, according to Turron Davenport from ESPN, that decision still hasn’t been set in stone.
ESPN Insider Adam Schefter also reported that sources around the organization are still willing to take calls about potentially dealing that number one overall pick, but after this workout, the price just went up, and it will take a strong package to get a deal done.
Although Ward has already completed his Top 30 visit to Nashville, the Titans will meet with him again at some point in the coming weeks. The organization plans a private workout and throwing session with Ward and the staff.
No date has been given for this workout, but this is another sign that the Titans are comfortable staying at No. 1 and taking Ward with the pick. With the draft only a month away, a decision will have to be made soon.
