Raiders re-sign cornerback Darnay Holmes
The Las Vegas Raiders are re-signing cornerback Darnay Holmes to a one-year deal, according to FOX NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Holmes tallied 30 tackles, three passes defensed and 2.5 stuffs last season with the Raiders after signing with the franchise in Aug. 2024. The 5-foot-10, 195 pound defensive back played in 16 games and started one last season with Las Vegas.
When Nate Hobbs was injured last season, Holmes emerged as a valuable slot corner for the Raiders where he accumulated 236 snaps last season, per Pro Football Focus.
Holmes spent the first four seasons of his career with the New York Giants after being selected by the organization in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL draft.
In his five-year NFL career thus far, Holmes has totaled 145 tackles, 21 passes defensed, four interceptions, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
