If you’re looking for a promotion to attend a Wilmington Blue Rocks game this season, you’re in luck.
The Rocks have something going on before, during or after every home game.
As the season approaches, here’s a refresher on who the Rocks are, where they play, how to purchase tickets and much more.
Who are the Blue Rocks?
The Blue Rocks are the High-A minor league baseball affiliate of the Washington Nationals. They play in the Northern Division of the South Atlantic League, along with teams from Aberdeen, Maryland (Orioles), Brooklyn, New York (Mets), Greensboro, North Carolina (Pirates), Hudson Valley, New York (Yankees) and Jersey Shore (Phillies).
The Rocks also compete against Southern Division teams Asheville, North Carolina (Astros), Bowling Green, Kentucky (Rays), Greenville, South Carolina (Red Sox), Spartanburg, South Carolina (Rangers), Rome, Georgia (Braves) and Winston-Salem, North Carolina (White Sox).
When do the Blue Rocks play?
The Rocks play 140 regular-season games – 70 at home, 70 on the road.
They open the season with a three-game series at Brooklyn from April 4-6.
The home opener will be at 6:35 p.m. April 8, against the Hub City Spartanburgers. It will be the first of six straight home games through April 13, all against Hub City.
The Rocks’ next homestand will be six straight games against Aberdeen from April 22-27.
The regular season will end at home against Aberdeen on Sunday, Sept. 7.

Group tickets and season ticket plans are also available.
Single-game tickets are also available before each game at the ticket windows outside the entrance of Frawley Stadium.
What time do the Blue Rocks play?
Blue Rocks games typically start at 6:35 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; 6:05 on Saturdays and 1:05 on Sundays.
