Napoli have recently tested the waters for Feyenoord’s forward Igor Paixao, who is sparking interest from various clubs with a strong campaign for the Eredivisie side.
The Brazilian proved a handful for Milan’s defence in their Champions League meeting in Rotterdam, scoring the winning goal, which was crucial in helping the Dutch outfit secure a 2-1 aggregate victory over the Rossoneri in the knockout phase play-off.
That was just another standout performance in a season that also saw him score nine goals and provide 11 assists in 25 Eredivisie games.
Napoli show interest in Paixao as Feyenoord demand €30m
As a result, clubs like Napoli and Atalanta have shown interest in the 24-year-old, and according to Calciomercato.com, the Partenopei have taken the first concrete steps by approaching Feyenoord to learn the terms of a potential transfer next summer.
The Eredivisie giants are reportedly demanding at least €30m plus add-ons, with sporting director Giovanni Manna noting their request, as Paixao remains on his shortlist to strengthen Napoli’s attack following Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s departure in the winter.
The Partenopei have also set their sights on Yukinari Sugawara, with the Japanese defender likely available for a relatively low fee after Southampton’s almost certain relegation.
