There is more good news in store for Manchester United supporters, as Kobbie Mainoo is reportedly edging towards a swift recovery.

Ahead of the Red Devils’ midweek trip to Nottingham, Ruben Amorim revealed that Amad Diallo has taken everyone by surprise with his unexpectedly swift recovery.

The Ivorian star suffered an ankle injury in February, prompting many to believe his season was already over. Nevertheless, the Man Utd boss suggested the winger will make his return to injury before the conclusion of the campaign, which means he would take part in the final stages of the Europa League, given that the club succeeds in overcoming Lyon in the quarter-finals.

On the other hand, Mainoo is expected to return at a considerably earlier stage than Amad, especially based on the positive training ground updates provided by Man Utd insider Sully.

“*Not an April Fools* – Understand Kobbie Mainoo is making positive progress in his recovery,” posted the journalist on X account.

“As exclusively confirmed last Monday, Kobbie returned back on grass and was said to be doing individual work. Since then, Kobbie has been making positive progress and is set to be ahead of schedule. Next stage is to be on group training which is understood to be soon.

Therefore, Man Utd supporters can be hopeful of seeing the teenager on the pitch in the coming weeks.

Even though the midfielder had his ups and downs this season (especially following Amorim’s arrival), he remains an elemental player in the squad, as well as a fan favourite at Old Trafford. After all, we must remember he is only 19 years of age, and has already achieved great feats (like scoring in the FA Cup final) at this early stage of his career.

Arsenal legend and Como head coach Cesc Fabregas hailed him as a difference maker, while praising his ‘fantastic personality’.
