Lorenzo Lucca and Santiago Castro aren’t the only strikers on Inter Milan’s radar, as they’re also targeting Lecce’s Nikola Krstovic.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908.
Inter Milan will be to keen a striker this summer.
The likes of Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa are set to depart the Nerazzurri at the end of their contracts.
Then, even the future of Mehdi Taremi is in doubt.
Therefore, Inter will certainly be aiming to sign at least one striker this summer.
And Inter’s plan would be to sign a younger striker, per Oaktree Capital’s dictate to lower the average age of the squad.
Not Just Lucca & Castro – Inter Also Keen On Lecce’s Nikola Krstovic
There are links with a big free transfer move for Lille and Canada striker Jonathan David.
However, it is also very likely that Inter will look to sign a striker from Serie A.
Bologna’s Santiago Castro and Udinese’s Lorenzo Lucca are two players who are on Inter’s radar in that respect.
The Montenegrin international has caught the eye in Serie A for the last couple seasons.
But it has been since the arrival of Marco Giampaolo as Lecce coach that Krstovic has really found another gear.
The 25-year-old has not just been in fine goalscoring form. He has also taken big strides in terms of his holdup play.
That has meant that there is plenty of transfer interest in Krstovic.
AC Milan had already shown interest during the January transfer window. And Real Betis actually made a €15 million offer.
Lecce rejected that bid from Betis. However, it is likely only a matter of time before they sell Krstovic.
And Inter Milan would consider the Montenegrin a serious target as they aim to refresh their attack.
