North Carolina tops this college basketball list

As the college basketball offseason begins following Monday's national championship, the focus now shifts to recruiting and the transfer portal. For Hubert Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels, this is a very important offseason as they need to get this program back on track.

Despite the struggles this season, Davis' job is safe for at least another year after he agreed to an extension last Summer and then signed it in December. UNC will trust Davis to get this thing right moving forward.

And even with those struggles, the UNC job is still considered the best in the country per one outlet.

Brad Crawford of 247Sports ranked the 10 best jobs in college basketball and right there sitting at No. 1 is North Carolina. Here is what Crawford had to say about the UNC job:

North Carolina coach Hubert Davis agreed to a raise and extension last summer before this season's fall from grace for the Tar Heels as a first-round exit in the NCAA Tournament after being the last team voted in. With a half-dozen national championships and the most recognizable color hue in college athletics, the program that birthed Michael Jordan and helped fuel Hall of Fame careers from Dean Smith and Roy Williams wants next. And the administration is behind Davis to the fullest extent, it appears. Fan support is unmatched and the program virtually recruits itself given its national prestige.

The job beat out No. 2 Kentucky, No. 3 Duke, No. 4 Kansas and No. 5 UConn among others in the Top 10.

While this is the top job, it comes with added pressure. And if Davis and his staff cant figure things out soon, the job might be open next year.
