Nichols delivers for Maysville in double OT thriller
SPRINGFIELD — Maysville lives for the dramatic with some 'Gator Magic' on Friday.
Gator Nichols beat the buzzer with the game-winning 3, off an offensive rebound, and sent the Panthers back to Dayton with a 75-73 double overtime win against Cincinnati Wyoming in the Division IV state semifinal at Wittenberg University.
Nichols had 29 points, as Maysville will face the winner of Glenville-Gates Mills Hawken in the state final at 4:15 p.m. next Friday at the University of Dayton.
