Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Nestor Cortes inadvertently did his old team a solid on Saturday at Yaknee Stadium.
In an inexplicable display from the mound, Cortes allowed four (yes, four) home runs for the New York Yankees in the bottom of the game's first inning.
In an absolutely disastrous sequence, Cortes started the inning with three straight homers thrown to Yankees first baseman Paul Goldschmidt, outfielder Cody Bellinger and outfielder Aaron Judge in that order. Judge's homer went for a whopping 468 feet.
Cortes was able to get through two Yankees batters before catcher Austin Wells added insult to injury with a fourth home run in the inning.
Two additional Yankees players got on base after the fourth homer, but Cortes managed to get out of the building jam by recording the final out on New York center fielder Trent Grisham to close the inning.
Yes, Cortes was able to get off the mound, but the damage done beforehand is a nightmare scenario for any pitcher.
