NASCAR Homestead qualifying live updates: Cup Series sets starting lineup
The NASCAR Cup Series begins the race weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway with practice and qualifying on Saturday ahead of Sunday's Straight Talk Wireless 400.
Josh Berry earned his first career Cup Series victory last week in Las Vegas, the biggest surprise of the first month of the Cup season.
Homestead often provides some of the best racing on the schedule, with multiple grooves available for drivers from the bottom line up to the wall.
Tyler Reddick won last season at Homestead (about five months ago) via a last-lap pass by running against the wall to get by Ryan Blaney. So while qualifying well isn't a must at this track like others, it'll be key for early-stage track position.
