Najee Harris takes subtle jab at Steelers during Chargers press conference
Steelers President Art Rooney II may want to click away from this one, as former Steelers RB Najee Harris seemingly took a shot at the organization's subpar training facility.
Harris, who spent four years donning the legendary Black and Gold, wasted little time singing the praises of his new Los Angeles Chargers training facility:
"It's a great weight room, first of all. Even the facilities—it's all great things. A lot of things that they provide here [Chargers facilities], and you take advantage of. This is a special thing right here—it reminded me of college at Alabama. All the resources that they have."
The dagger to the heart of the Steel City came with Harris’ final comparison, delivered with a chuckle:
"It's not like this everywhere."
These comments may sting, but in all honesty, the Pittsburgh Steelers organization needs to hear them, as their training facility is quite literally the laughingstock of the NFL. Hopefully, Harris' criticisms bring to light the Steelers' much-needed catalyst for finding a new training facility.
