Iowans can soon watch a 12,000-pound truck perform donuts and race during the largest monster truck rally in the world.
Monster Jam is coming to Iowa. Witness trucks that stand more than 12 feet tall and are more than 17 feet long go head to head in stunt challenges. A Monster Jam truck engine can generate up to 1,500 horsepower, according to the event's website. The truck tires are 66 inches in diameter and 43 inches wide weighing in at 645 pounds.
Where is the Monster Jam rally coming to Iowa?
The Monster Jam rally is coming to Des Moines, Iowa, on April 12 and April 13. It will be at the Wells Fargo Arena and there are three opportunities to attend the show.
The first showing is Saturday at 1 p.m. with a second show at 7 p.m. Saturday. Sunday has a show at 1 p.m.
How to get tickets to Monster Jam in Iowa
Tickets are still available for all three shows of Monster Jam. Depending on the date and time, tickets start at $30. You can purchase tickets at the Iowa Events Center box office or online at hy-veetix.com.
Where can I park for Monster Jam at Wells Fargo Arena?
Parking entrances to the Iowa Event Center are located off Third Street and Fifth Avenue. It costs $12 to park cars and trucks. You can pre-pay and reserve a spot with JustPark.
There is also city street parking available via the ParkDSM app or kiosks. Street parking is free downtown on Sundays.
What is Wells Fargo Arena's bag policy?
All bags must be clear and a maximum size of 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches. There are exceptions for medical bags or childcare bags. Small clutches are permitted if they are no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches, according to the Iowa Event Center's website.
