Mario Hermoso’s loan at Bayer at risk of being over after shoulder injury
Mario Hermoso’s time at Bayer Leverkusen may have already come to an end.
The Spanish defender, on loan from Roma until June, suffered a serious shoulder injury in the Champions League match against Bayern Munich and, according to reports from Germany, his season could have ended prematurely.
According to Bild, the severity of the injury has not yet allowed for in-depth tests, making it difficult to establish with certainty the recovery time.
However, if the hypothesis of a prolonged stoppage were confirmed, Hermoso would no longer take the field with Leverkusen.
This scenario would also remove the possibility of a buyout by the German club, which is unlikely to be able to sustain the player’s salary, equal to over 3.5 million euros per season.
Roma, therefore, remains awaiting developments on the situation, with Hermoso’s future becoming increasingly uncertain.
