Roma defender Gianluca Mancini was interviewed by Roma TV in the aftermath of the recent 1-1 derby draw between the Giallorossi and Lazio.
“When you go down you have to have a reaction in every game,” said the Italian centreback.”
“After their goal we had a good reaction, with my header and then with Soulé’s goal. Then we tried to push to turn it around and maybe by putting a little more effort we could have succeeded. I think the draw is fair.”
“We are five points from the Champions League. If I think about the first leg derby won and the first half of the season closed with 23 points, thinking that today we are 5 points from the Champions League makes you think: we believed in it because we know what the value of the team is, but many others don’t.”
“We need to stay calm, think about Sunday after Sunday in this final sprint and give everything we have to try to qualify.”
