Manchester United suffered a 2-2 draw against Lyon in the Europa League quarter-final first leg on Thursday night.

Joshua Zirkzee’s 88th-minute goal suggested the Red Devils would come away with an advantage from France. But a horrible mistake from Andre Onana allowed Rayan Cherki to score the equaliser into the fifth minute of stoppage-time.

Rasmus Hojlund once again disappointed with his display as he failed to score and was rightly substituted for Zirkzee on the hour mark.

Manager Ruben Amorim has been far from pleased with the young striker and may want him gone in the summer.

According to a report from Tuttomercatoweb, Serie A side Juventus are interested in Hojlund and United are prepared to sell him for a £52 million fee.

The Old Lady would prefer a loan move but the English giants want a sale to raise funds for new signings in the summer.

Hojlund joined United in the summer of 2023 for a whopping £72m fee. But the Denmark international has failed to live up to his enormous price-tag, managing only 13 goals in 56 league appearances.

Amorim’s side are unlikely to recoup the initial fee they paid for him, as his value has decreased due to his miserable form. They are now ready to sell him for £52m, despite the Dane having three years left on his contract.

Hojlund arrived at Old Trafford with a burgeoning reputation, but has endured a hugely underwhelming spell in Manchester. This season, he has netted just one goal in his previous 16 league outings.
