Madison Booker may not be done adding to her trophy case
Just a few weeks after earning SEC honors, Madison Booker may not be done adding to her trophy case. The Longhorns star has been named a semifinalist for the 2025 Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy Women's College Player of the Year Award. Her latest recognition comes as no surprise following a stellar 2024-2025 campaign.
During the regular season, Booker scored in double figures in 27 games. The talented forward scored 20 or more points in 12 games this season while ranking second on the team in rebounding. Whenever Booker has the ball in her hands, she has been incredibly efficient, shooting 45.9 percent from the field on the season.
While Booker has made a compelling case, she is not the only one looking to add to her resume. Her competition includes Georgia Amoore, Lauren Betts, Paige Bueckers, Aneesah Morrow, and Ta'Niya Latson. During the regular season, Latson was the nation's leading scorer, averaging 24.9 points per game.

With Booker leading the way, the Longhorns won the SEC regular-season championship. They have also won a regular-season or conference tournament championship in each of the last four seasons, two of which have come with Booker as a main fixture in the offense.
As the accolades have continued to toll in Booker has not taken those for granted who helped her get to where she is.
“I just want to thank my teammates, I think they really helped me get this award,” Booker said after she learned she received the honor, according to Sports Illustrated. “Honestly, I wouldn’t even thank myself. I’ll just thank them, my coaching staff, just the whole program in general, just my support staff, my parents, my friends, you know, for this, but first and foremost, just, thank God for a just ability to get this opportunity, this award."
Over the next few weeks, Booker will focus on helping the Longhorns win a national championship. However, it would come as no surprise if she were able to add more hardware to her trophy case.
