The Los Angeles Lakers had several deficiencies in their 123-116 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Thursday. One of them was their inability to consistently hit shots, especially from the perimeter, through the first three quarters.
Arguably the biggest culprit in that department was Luka Doncic. He shot 3-of-11 in the first half and went 6-of-17 overall while missing all six of his 3-point attempts. When he wasn't throwing up bricks from the outside, he was surrounded by multiple Warriors defenders once he made his way into the paint.
After the game, Doncic seemed to hold himself accountable for his poor performance.

Lakers head coach JJ Redick didn't criticize Doncic afterward — he simply said it wasn't the superstar's night.
Doncic played outstanding basketball for the most part throughout March, and by shooting 40.5% from downtown during that time, he set a new franchise record for the most treys made in a calendar month. But he has had his share of bad shooting performances, and the team needs to help him get easier looks often enough to buttress his shooting percentage.
He and his teammates won't have any time to rest, as they will play the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday before an early road game on Sunday versus the Oklahoma City Thunder.
