Liverpool have nine crucial games in the coming weeks to firmly grasp the Premier League title. The Reds sit 12 points ahead of challengers Arsenal and are in prime position to secure their first league trophy since 2020.

Liverpool’s Premier League run-in starts with a visit from arch-rivals Everton this Wednesday. The Reds will be determined to make a statement with a win against the rejuvenated Toffees.

Liverpool will be bolstered by the presence of Alisson Becker, Ibrahima Konate, and Ryan Gravenberch in training ahead of the Merseyside derby. The trio picked up knocks over the international break, and some fans were worried they would miss the crucial showdown.

Alisson left the Brazil camp early but confirmed that it was only precautionary. Meanwhile, Konate sustained an injury during a horrendous display for France versus Croatia. He did not come out at half-time.

Also, Gravenberch pulled out of the Netherlands national team and returned to the AXA training centre. The former Ajax man has been a lynchpin in the Liverpool engine room.

Fortunately for Liverpool, all three were in training and good spirits as they prepared for the Everton showdown. They need to lay down the gauntlet as Arsenal fight to catch up.

Everton remain unbeaten in nine games, and Liverpool must be wary. The Reds have not been firing on all cylinders, crashing out of the UEFA Champions League and losing the League Cup final.

Interestingly, Liverpool (25) and Everton (nine) are on the longest unbeaten runs in the Premier League. This run is Everton’s longest unbeaten streak going into a league clash with Liverpool since February 2010 (also nine), when they lost 1-0 at Anfield under David Moyes.

During his first spell as Everton boss, Moyes oversaw six draws in his 11 league visits to Anfield (lost five), including his last one in May 2013 (a 0-0 draw).
