Knicks Make Unfortunate Announcement Ahead of Mavericks Game
The New York Knicks are at home at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night as they host the Dallas Mavericks.
New York enters Tuesday’s game amid a recent rough stretch as they have dropped six of their last 10 games but they are coming off a victory over the Washington Wizards on Saturday.
They will now look to pick up back-to-back victories on Tuesday when they face off against the beat-up Mavericks who have dropped seven of their last 10 games but they have won two consecutive contests.
Unfortunately for the Knicks, they will be without Mitchell Robinson for Tuesday’s game as they have officially announced that they have ruled him out due to ankle injury management.
Mitchell Robinson is OUT tonight against the Mavericks.

Assumption he’ll play tomorrow against Clippers.
Of course, Robinson had ankle surgery in the offseason that kept him out for most of this season and since he returned, the Knicks have held him out of one night of a back-to-back, which they have on Tuesday and Wednesday.
This is a massive blow for the Knicks who will now be shorthanded in their frontcourt due to Ariel Hukporti still being out due to a torn meniscus, but Robinson is expected to play against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.
This season, Robinson is averaging 5.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while shooting 68.6% from the field in 10 games.
With Robinson sidelined, expect Precious Achiuwa to see an increased role off the bench and Karl-Anthony Towns may be asked to play even more minutes by head coach Tom Thibodeau.
New York will also be shorthanded in the backcourt as they have ruled out Jalen Brunson and Miles McBride due to injury and Cameron Payne and Tyler Kolek should see an increase in playing time on Monday.
Fans can catch Tuesday's game between the Mavericks and Knicks at 7:30 p.m. EST.
