Juju Watkins adds Wooden Award to incredible list of accomplishments

Another day, another award for Juju Watkins. After already winning the Naismith and AP Player of the Year awards, on Saturday, Watkins was officially awarded the Wooden Award as the best player in the country.

It was an incredible sophomore campaign for Watkins. Prior to suffering a season-ending injury in the NCAA Tournament, she was averaging 23.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.2 steals, and 1.8 blocks per game.

Appearing on ESPN's College GameDay from the Final Four Saturday, Watkins discussed her season and winning the award.

"I think this season was a real growth year for me, Watkins said. "I was able to learn so much.

"Playing with Kiki Iriafen and so many great players around me, it forced me to just, kind of level up and be a better player and teammate."

While Watkins's season ended in heartbreaking fashion, it was still an incredible year to watch. USC fans are looking forward to seeing her make a full recovery and get back on the court as soon as possible.
