Interesting details about Aaron Rodgers' meeting with Steelers revealed by insider
The Aaron Rodgers to the Pittsburgh Steelers speculation has begun to simmer down—but insider Ian Rapoport dropped some exciting news regarding how the meeting went and what to make of it.
Rapoport began with one interesting piece of information: Rodgers’ inner circle had little clue the meeting even took place.
“It was amazing to me—and we sort of talked about this before—the close circle that Aaron Rodgers has, not a lot of people knew about this visit. People very close to him did not know about this visit.”
Rapoport would go on to say that keeping those around him in the dark may have been intentional on Rodgers’ part, and that the meeting “sounded like it went really well.”
Rodgers may enjoy his darkness retreats—but the Steel City faithful certainly haven’t enjoyed this version, as few know how the 2025 quarterback situation in Pittsburgh will ultimately unfold. Still, it’s promising that the team may finally have a short-term solution in place—one that doesn’t involve putting backup signal-callers into situations where they’re set up to fail.
