Injury update for Lakers versus Suns game on Sunday
The Los Angeles Lakers have just completed a road trip during which they lost all four games that were played while being very short-handed. During their 131-126 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Friday, they were without starters LeBron James, Luka Doncic, Rui Hachimura and Jaxson Hayes, as well as reserves Gabe Vincent, Dorian Finney-Smith and Trey Jemison III.
As a result of their four-game losing streak, they have fallen to fifth place in the Western Conference with a 40-25 record and are now two full games behind the second-place Nuggets.
They still have two more sets of back-to-back games between now and Thursday, but fortunately, all four of those games will take place at Crypto.com Arena. The first of those contests will take place against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday afternoon.
The best news for the Lakers is that Doncic and Hayes are likely to return to action on Sunday, while Finney-Smith and Vincent are questionable.

Doncic scored a very efficient 45 points in his last game on Thursday versus the Milwaukee Bucks. Without the men who have been out lately, L.A. has been very small up front, which is one big reason it gave up 131 points to Denver and 126 points to Milwaukee.
Hayes hasn't played since the team defeated the New York Knicks on March 6.
