‘If I talk to you, I will say crazy things’ – Adrien Rabiot left raging after Monaco’s dismantling of Marseille

Adrien Rabiot (30) left the field in a state of rage after Marseille were convincingly defeated 3-0 by Monaco, who are direct rivals in the race for UEFA Champions League qualification in Ligue 1. The France international midfielder refused to acknowledge the Marseille fans inside the Stade Louis II after his side’s defeat and walked straight down the tunnel.

OM have now been leapfrogged by Les Monégasques into second, and Lille are now only two points behind in 4th. This scenario clearly left the former Juventus midfielder annoyed with the pressure piling on Roberto De Zerbi’s team as they look to secure Champions League football next season. When approached by journalists, Rabiot said, “If I talk to you, I will say crazy things.”

Marseille are likely to secure three points in their next fixture against Montpellier who have already succumbed to relegation. However, the matches do not get any easier for Les Phocéens as they still have to face Lille, who are in the hunt for UCL football, before the end of the season.
