Cincinnati Reds manager Terry Francona is known for his sense of humor and quick wit, and he delivered laughs when asked a question after the Reds' 14-3 rout Monday of the Texas Rangers.
Francona was asked whether he was aware that Reds phenom Elly De La Cruz was a triple shy of the cycle when he crushed his second home run of the game.
"I was watching the game," Francona replied in deadpan fashion.
Codify tweeted that Elly De La Cruz was just the 9th player since 1988 to have two homers, four hits, seven RBIs and a stolen base in a single MLB game.
