'I had a great time' - Moyes on West Ham tenure
Everton manager David Moyes says it will be "difficult" to go up against some of the players he has "close bonds" with when he faces former club West Ham.
On Friday, the Scot was announced as manager of the month for February, having left the Hammers at the end of the 2023-24 season following four-and-a-half years at the club across two different spells.
Speaking about the Hammers, Moyes said: "I left a club that I really enjoyed and I had a great time at. "After winning the European trophy, seeing what the east end of London was like was fantastic."
The 61-year-old guided West Ham to their first major trophy in 43 years when they won the Europa Conference League in Prague in 2023 and he is looking forward to touching base with some of his old players.
"To be fair, I haven't brought all the players into West Ham but the bulk of them were probably on my watch so I have a lot of close bonds with the players there," he said.
"It will be great to see them all but a really difficult situation to be coming up against them."
