Have a listen: ESPN debuts Noah Kahan version of 'Georgia on my Mind' ahead of Masters.
Noah Kahan has taken off in the past couple years, with hit songs 'Stick Season' and 'Hurt Somebody'.
Now ESPN is cashing in on his fame by using the singer/songwriter's version of Georgia on My Mind to promote the upcoming Masters.
The sports network debuted Kahan's song during an add over the weekend.
The song plays as azaleas sway, golfers like Collin Morikawa and Scottie Scheffler swing, and Max Homa smiles, welcoming the audience to Augusta and the Masters, which opens on Thursday, April 10.
The short snippet heard in the commercial is certainly unique compared to Ray Charles' version from 65 years ago, with a little more of a pop/folk sound than Charles' piano-heavy version. And not quite as twangy as Willie Nelson's famous version.
In past years, ESPN has used an instrumental version of the song as a lead-up to the tournament, but it has also used various artists versions as well.
Beginning in 2020 with India Arie's version, the network has used a new artist each year.

Who is Noah Kahan
The 28-year-old singer-songwriter jumped on the scene in 2022 with his hit album Stick Season, with the title track launching him to fame. From Stafford, Vermont, Kahan gained traction by posting songs to TikTok during the COVID-19 pandemic beginning in 2020.
He is a multi-platinum artist who has twice been nominated for Grammys.
He's also an avid golfer, telling ESPN, “I’m actually going to have a chance to be there in person so I’m excited to see it (Augusta National Golf Club) up close. From today until the day we pull into the gates of Augusta National, I promise Georgia will be on my mind.”
When will ESPN show The Masters?
ESPN will have coverage on Thursday and Friday as well as Wednesday's Par 3 contest. CBS will then have coverage on the weekend.
