Great catches: Cincinnati's top unsigned football seniors ahead of Aug. 1 DII deadline

With dozens of Greater Cincinnati schools participating in showcases for college coaches early next month, The Enquirer is updating its recruiting lists of the best thus-uncommitted local talent.

While the NCAA Division I signing period ended April 1, the final signing period for Division II football athletes is Aug. 1, 2025. To help all involved, here are some of the top uncommitted and/or unsigned class of 2025 football players around Cincinnati. This file could be updated.

Andrew Bessler, RB/LB, Covington Catholic

Height: 6-foot. Weight: 195 pounds.

2024 stats: 29 rushes, 220 yards, six rushing touchdowns; 50 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions.

Bessler was the only Covington Catholic defensive player to be named an All-Northern Kentucky first-teamer in 2024. He helped his team to an 11-3 record and a run to the state semifinals in Class 4A.

Torin Bryant, OL/DL, Highlands

Height: 6-foot-1. Weight: 260 pounds.

2024 stats: 28 tackles, eight tackles for loss, one sack.

Bryant earned All-Northern Kentucky first-team honors as a defensive lineman in 2024, helping the Bluebirds to an 11-3 record.

Ky’Ron Carter, RT/DT/DE, Lloyd Memorial

Height: 6-foot-1. Weight: 270 pounds.

2024 stats: 58 tackles, 16.0 tackles for loss, four sacks.

He has interest from universities such as Thomas More, John Carroll, Findlay and Kentucky Christian so far. He earned All-Northern Kentucky second-team honors on defense in 2024.

"On defense, he’s quick off the ball and can get in the backfield to create problems for the offense," Lloyd Memorial coach Kyle Niederman said. "On offense he stands his ground and very few can get past him."

Vincent Clark Jr., DB/WR, Purcell Marian

Height: 6-foot-2. Weight: 180 pounds.

2024 stats: 39 tackles, five interceptions, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble; 28 receptions, 473 receiving yards, eight receiving touchdowns.
