Liverpool are on the verge of winning a record-equalling 20th championship, but their coronation will be delayed following a 3-2 loss to Fulham at Craven Cottage this afternoon.
With their nearest rival, Arsenal, drawing 1-1 at Goodison Park on Saturday, coupled with this loss, Liverpool now holds an 11-point lead and requires only eight points from their remaining six matches to clinch the Premier League title.

Perhaps complacency had crept in, as they found themselves trailing by two or more goals at halftime in England’s top division for the first time since February 2023 (against Wolves), and they have yet to win a Premier League match after being two or more goals down at halftime since October 2008, when they came back to win 3–2 against Manchester City. From then onwards, the Reds found themselves in this situation on 23 occasions (including today) and lost each time.

To add insult to injury, the deadlock was finally broken ten minutes later when Alexis Mac Allister struck a remarkable shot from 20 yards, finding the back of the net beyond Leno. Muniz was outmanoeuvred on the halfway line, and both Alex Iwobi and Sander Berge were unable to stop the Argentine. Mac Allister then found space at the edge of the Fulham box before firing a ...
