Former Wisconsin Badgers AJ Storr, Chucky Hepburn out of NCAA tournament early
AJ Storr was expected to be among the top transfer portal additions when he left Wisconsin for Kansas in the offseason. The former Badgers' leading scorer was supposed to make the same type of sudden impact in Bill Self's offense this season.
Instead, Wisconsin's acquisition of John Tonje has been one of the best moves in all of college basketball. Storr averaged just 5.5 points per game and rarely found any rhythm.
Thursday night, he locked into a postseason groove in Providence during a first-round game against Arkansas in the NCAA tournament.
Storr scored 11 of his 15 points in the first half and also had a blocked shot that briefly sent March Madness social media into a frenzy.

Kansas fans had to be curious where that version of Storr has been.
One half later though, the Jayhawks' disappointing season was over after a 79-72 loss to the Razorbacks. It was the first time since 2006 a Kansas team lost an opening-round game.
Another former Badger, Chucky Hepburn had a much better season, helping lead a floundering Louisville program back to actual college basketball relevance.
Hepburn averaged 16.2 points per game and 5.8 assists at the point guard spot and helped the Cardinals earn their first tournament bid since 2019.
But his 22 points in his final college basketball game were not enough in a 89-75 first-round loss to Creighton in the first game of the tournament.
After the game, an emotional Hepburn said, "This is the most fun I've had playing college basketball."
Chucky Hepburn very emotional post-game vs. Creighton. Touches on a lot of subjects. His game, this team, the Revival, the fans.
