Former Dolphins swing tackle joining Eagles on 1-year deal, per report
Former Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Kendall Lamm is signing a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Peter Schrager of NFL Network.
Lamm, 32, joined the Dolphins as a member of the practice squad during the 2022 season, but emerged as a reliable backup for the team in 2023. With Terron Armstead out of the lineup for stretches and Austin Jackson out for most of 2024, Lamm was called upon to start 15 games in Miami.
While the veteran lineman said last April that the 2024 season would be his "last ride," he's now set to play an 11th season in the NFL.
Earlier this year, Dolphins general manager Chris Grier told reporters that the team would invest in the offensive line during the 2025 offseason because "we're just older there now." Both Lamm and Robert Jones have now left in free agency, and Miami is operating under the assumption that it won't have Terron Armstead back either.
In their place, the Dolphins have added free agent lineman James Daniels and Larry Borom.
The Eagles won Super Bowl LIX in large part because of its offensive line, which paved the way for Saquon Barkley's NFL Offensive Player of the Year performance in 2024. But guards Mekhi Becton and Fred Johnson both exited in free agency. In addition to adding Lamm, Philadelphia also signed former Houston Texans lineman Kenyon Green.
The full terms of Lamm's agreement with the Eagles haven't yet been revealed.
