Dewsbury-Hall makes “not arrogant” claim about his team after highly rated performance
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has had a tough first season at Chelsea, with a new low reached last week in the first half as he struggled in a dreadful team showing against Copenhagen.
He kept his place this week, however, and did really well, scoring the crucial goal to send his team through with a win.
He was SofaScore’s top rated player on the night with a score of 8.0, showing his game was more than just a nice run and finish. Once again the Blues were dire for 45 minutes but got things moving in the second period and started to impress.
The more space opened up, the better KDH looked.
“I saw a gap and managed to jinx through. I thought I would pick my spot and luckily it came off, I practise [that type of finish] it after training and was happy to produce it in a match,” he said of his goal.
“In the second half, we got a few more chances and we got a goal.”
He was a little lucky the ball broke to him after he dribbled it off a defender’s leg, but he was sharper than anyone to get to and kept his cool with a nice finish across the keeper.

Dewsbury-Hall backs Chelsea to win trophy after seeing off tough Copenhagen
Dewsbury-Hall has played an important role in this Conference League run so far, and he backed his team to go on succeeding in Europe this season:
“Yeah, Chelsea has won the Champions League, the Europa League, it would be stupid of us to say we can’t win this” he said to TNT Sport on the pitch after full time.
“It’s not arrogant from us but we just know the quality that we have in the squad. Copenhagen are a good team but we are happy to be through.”
