The daily grind starts this week.
With a three-game series at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, the Daytona Tortugas will open their 2025 Florida State League season. Game 1 is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. Friday against the Bradenton Marauders.
One hundred and thirty-one more games will follow. Outside of the mid-July All-Star break, the Tortugas will play every Tuesday through Sunday for more than five months.
Fresh off its first playoff appearance since 2018, Daytona is under new leadership this year. Former major leaguer Willie Harris is the club’s new manager. He won a World Series as a player with the 2005 Chicago White Sox and most recently served as the Chicago Cubs’ third-base coach the last four seasons.
