Videos are dropping of the full Darkfest 2025 run being sent, and it impresses not just with the skill of the riders but of the monumental effort it took to build the course. The event kicks off April 7-12 at Hellsend Bike Park in Stellenbosch, South Africa, and features its record-setting 110-foot jump.
Darkfest founder Sam Reynolds and friends Theo Erlangsen, Duran Van Eeden, Alessio Tonoli, and Dylan Stark unlock the freeride course in a 15-minute video as they ride and discuss the massive features that the Darkfest crew, including Justin Novella, shoveled and back-hoed into existence, including the new quarter pipe that has riders looping back onto the course. British-born freerider Sam Reynolds started Darkfest in 2013 and the event is known for its massive dirt-to-dirt jumps and often record-setting runs.
In his video, Brendan Fairclough follows with his POV of his 100-foot jumps. He starts with a startling view of his cracked helmet, only to reveal the damage was done on the plane trip over, and not on the course.
