Bucs lose swing tackle Justin Skule to Vikings
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have not lost any key starters from their 2024 season, but they have lost some key role players. One of which was a big part of their success along the offensive line.
According to Alec Lewis of the Athletic, the Minnesota Vikings have agreed to terms on a deal with veteran offensive tackle Justin Skule.
Skule, a sixth-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers in the 2019 draft, started five games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season and has 66 career appearances with 17 starts over a five-year NFL career. Skule was able to play a variety of positions for the Bucs offensive line as one of their plug-and-play backups. He now heads to Minnesota, where he is expected to become their new swing tackle with their tackles overcoming injuries in 2024.
The Bucs will now be expected to address Skule's loss in the NFL Draft. While they could sign someone in free agency, that pool is now very thin, especially after Justin Skule left.
