Broncos met with offensive lineman John Williams at NFL combine
The Denver Broncos seem to have their starting five set on the offensive line, but the team needs more depth, particularly at the interior spots.
So it's no surprise that Denver met with Cincinnati's John Williams at the NFL combine, the lineman confirmed during his media availability in Indianapolis earlier this month.
Williams (6-4, 322 pounds) ran a 40-yard dash in 5.17 seconds and bench-pressed 225 pounds 29 times at the combine. He played tackle in college, but Williams "has the body type of a guard," according to NFL.com's Lance Zierlein, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him move inside as a pro.
Williams spent five years with the Bearcats with a redshirt freshman season. He became a full-time starter at left tackle in 2023, starting 24 consecutive games to close out his college career. He was credited with only allowing one quarterback hit on 823 snaps last fall.
My top performer from the West practice at the @ShrineBowl has to be Cincinnati LT John Williams

Very impressed with his fluidity and independent hand usage. Great building blocks for a blindside protector pic.twitter.com/8rdnnKNyJC
Williams is projected as a late-round or undrafted free agent prospect. The Broncos do not hold a seventh-round pick, but they do have three selections in the sixth round.
