Felix Nmecha is working on his Borussia Dortmund comeback. According to Ruhr Nachrichten, the German midfielder was integrated into team training on Wednesday after the 24-year-old suffered a knee ligament injury in January against Werder Bremen.
The BVB played under Niko Kovac during their time at Wolfsburg, but Nmecha is yet to play under the Croat at Borussia Dortmund. After returning to light running duties during the international break and completing individual training sessions, Nmecha took part in first team training and depending on how his knee reacts to the workload, it’s possible that the player could return to the squad this weekend ahead of Dortmund’s game against Freiburg.
Failing that, Nmecha will return against Bayern Munich on April 12 at the latest, per RN.
Serhou Guirassy continues to work individually
Borussia Dortmund’s topscorer was absent from their 3-1 win against Mainz 05 last weekend due to muscular problems. The Guinean striker was at Dortmund’s Brackel training ground on Wednesday but has not yet trained with teammates, add RN.
