Bengals get a big win in mock draft created by AI

The Cincinnati Bengals really like defensive line prospects in 2025 NFL mock drafts, something reflected by a recent major meeting with a prospect before the big event, too.

It's no great shock, then, that even a mock draft run by AI has the Bengals taking one of the draft's best players in the defensive trenches.

USA Today’s Jacob Camenker asked Meta AI to run a first-round mock draft and the result fell in line with this thinking by having the Bengals take Marshall defensive end Mike Green:

"This is a strong fit, as the Bengals are desperate to add pass-rushing talent. Trey Hendrickson requested a trade away from the team and even if Cincinnati does keep him, it needs a more consistent partner for the 2024 NFL sack leader."

Letting an AI chatbot run things didn't totally work out across the board -- as the writeup notes, for example, Shedeur Sanders and Tyler Warren were left out of the first round entirely.

Green going to the Bengals, at least, makes some sense and this isn't the first recent mock draft to suggest that fit.

While there are some off-field questions around Green, the talent and film suggest big things. If the Bengals keep him on the board he's sure to rank highly at a problem area that retained Joseph Ossai and still hopes for Myles Murphy to break out.

Adding another high-upside pass-rusher to the rotation with Trey Hendrickson (provided that drama plays out nicely) is a bit of a no-brainer for a team that wants to keep its contention window open as wide as possible.
