BC men are NCA hockey tourney's top seed, will play in Manchester

Mar. 23—Boston College is the overall top seed for the NCAA men's Div. I hockey tournament and will play close to home at SNHU Arena in Manchester.

The Eagles (26-7-2) will face Atlantic Hockey Association champion Bentley (23-14-2) on Thursday at 2 p.m.

Also playing in the Manchester Regional is Providence (21-10-5) and Denver (29-11-1), who will face off Thursday at 5 p.m.

Hockey East champion Maine is the No. 3 overall seed and will face Penn State Friday in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Other Hockey East teams in the tournament include: UMass, which will face Minnesota in Fargo, North Dakota, on Thursday; UConn, which will face Quinnipiac of the ECAC on Friday in Allentown; and Boston University, which will take on Ohio State Thursday in Toledo, Ohio.

League champion Cornell joins Quinnipiac as the ECAC's second representative.
