Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich came from behind to defeat 10-man Augsburg 3-1 on Friday, but will be concerned about midfielder Jamal Musiala, who left the pitch with a hamstring injury.
Board member for sport Max Eberl said "it doesn't look so brilliant" and ruled him out of the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Inter Milan on Tuesday.
"It's extremely bitter, regardless of whether it's Jamal or someone else. It's really blatant the amount of injured we have at the moment," Eberl told broadcasters DAZN.
Coach Vincent Kompany said "we have to wait and see" and that Musiala's potential absence is "not an excuse, we have to keep going."
Bayern already have a long list of injured players, which includes goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, winger Kingsley Coman and defenders Alphonso Davies and Dayot Upamecano.
The game
Dimitrios Giannoulis broke the deadlock for Augsburg in the 30th minute after striking Jeffrey Gouweleeuw's free-kick into the net with a stunning kick.
But the Bavarians were level in the 42nd. Leroy Sané's low cross found Musiala, who was initially blocked by a defender, but he recovered the ball and fired the equalizer between the posts.
After the break, however, Musiala seemed to have pulled a hamstring, leaving the pitch in the 54th and heading straight to the dressing room.
Augsburg went down to 10 men in the 59th as Cedric Zesiger was sent off after a second yellow card for a foul on Harry Kane to prevent the England striker from running through on goal.
From the resulting free-kick, Kane turned the game around for the Bavarians with a diving header in the 60th. Chrislain Matsima's own goal completed Bayern's win after he accidentally deflected Sané's cross into the goal in stoppage-time.
"Augsburg away has always been a tough fixture for Bayern. We expected a difficult game. We stayed calm after conceding the opener and kept going. Overall, if you see how we played, it was a good away win, we take the 3 points," Kompany said.
With the result, Bayern extended their lead ahead of champions Bayer Leverkusen to nine points. Leverkusen visit lowly Heidenheim on Saturday.
