97th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays convene this week at Mike Myers Stadium

The Clyde Littlefield Texas Relay will convene in Austin this week with some of the nation's best collegiate track and field athletes in addition to a large group of the state's best high school stars.

The 97th running of the Relays will be televised live by the Longhorn Network. You can stream the Longhorn Network through platforms such as ESPN, Sling and DIRECTV.

Faith Murphy of Anderson High, running here at the UIL State Track and Field Meet in 2024, won a silver medal in the 800 meters. She will compete at the Texas Relays at Mike Myers Stadium this weekend.

It all begins at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mike Myers Stadium with the university/college women's heptathlon and the university/college decathlon at 11 a.m. Those events will continue Thursday, as well as some preliminary track events in the afternoon.

There is a full slate of events scheduled for Friday and Saturday. It all concludes Saturday afternoon with the finals of the relay races and sprint races.

Friday and Saturday sessions require a ticket to enter the stadium. All-session tickets are from $35 to $50 and include a ticket to all Friday and Saturday events. Single-session tickets range from $23 to $33.

Eight Austin-area girls to watch

Keona Benford, Vandegrift soph.: One of the best long jumpers, she set a school record with a jump 18 feet, 5.75 inches at the Viper Relays.

Josie Busceme, Bowie jr.: The Bulldog qualified for the girl's 100-meter dash. She has pledged to play softball for the University of Texas.

Kailyn Cook, Elgin sr.: She is prepped and ready for the Relays by finishing second in the girl's long jump at the Hutto Relays with a leap of 19 feet, 2.25 inches.

Bowie's Jazzlyn Hepburn set the school record in the high jump as a freshman. She aspires to play volleyball in college.

Jazzlyn Hepburn, Bowie soph.: A three-sport standout, she set the school record in the high jump during her senior year. An accomplished basketball player, she aspires to play volleyball in college.

Zaniah Hoskins, Johnson sr.: A 5-foot-9 volleyball player who has committed to play at Memphis, she is one of the top high jumpers in the Austin area.

Madison Hunter, Blanco sr.: Focused almost exclusively in the 100 hurdles last season, she was crowned district champion. Committed to Lubbock Christian to play softball.

Faith Murphy, Anderson sr.: Last year, she earned a silver medal at the UIL State meet in the 800 meters. She was the state's No. 2 qualifier with a time of 2:07.14.

Elizabeth Mustacchia, Vandegrift sr.: After earning a silver in the 2000 steeple chase in 2024, she returns to the relays and will compete in the steeple chase and 3,200 meters.

Eight Austin-area boys to watch

Jake Chu, Vandegrift sr.: Chu was named MVP of the Viper Relays in 2024 and will compete in the 100-meter dash this weekend with teammate Marcion Robinson.

Emeric Famechon, Cedar Park sr.: A cross country and track and field standout for the Timberwolves, Famechon returns to the Relays to compete in the 2,000-meter steeplechase.

Swade Griffin, Lago Vista sr.: A University of Arizona football signee, he holds the nation's fastest time this year in the 110 hurdles at 13.52 seconds.

Owen Langdon, Bowie sr.: Competed in the 300 hurdles and the 400-meter relay team as a sophomore. Has also competed in the AAU Junior Olympics and USATF Junior Olympics.

Eric Rose, Glenn soph.: Among the favorites to earn a medal in the pole vault, Glenn had a personal-best jump of 16 feet, 1.75 inches in February.

LBJ senior Ali Scott, caring the ball during a playoff game against Pflugerville, will help on the Jaguars on a par of relay teams.

Ali Scott, LBJ sr.: An All-District 13-4A DI quarterback who signed to play at Clark Atlanta University, he will run in the 400- and 800-meter relays.

Grant Seade, Westlake jr.: Helped Westlake win the team championship at the Vista Ridge Ranger Relays by finishing first in the 1,600 meters.

Zayden Sharp, Anderson sr.: An All-District 12-5A DI football player, Sharp earned a district championship in the 100 meters at 10.40 seconds.
