🚨 WSL: Liverpool stun rivals Man Utd; Arsenal win at Everton
There were two high-anticipated WSL matches Friday evening to get the weekend underway, as Everton hosted Arsenal and Liverpool took on rivals Manchester United.
Here is what went down in the two fixtures.
Everton 1-3 Arsenal
Scorers: Payne 36' ; Russo 24', Mjelde 63' (OG)
While Arsenal jumped out to an early lead through none other than Alessia Russo, the Toffees responded well when Toni Payne stabbed home from close range to draw level.

While Everton looked slightly comfortable holding onto their point in the second-half, disaster struck past the hour mark when a Maren Mjelde own-goal gifted the Gunners the lead once again.
There would be no doubt this time around as Arsenal doubled their lead through Alessia Russo once again, completing her brace and ensuring Renée Slegers's side picked up all three points to keep the pressure on leaders Chelsea.

Liverpool 3-1 Manchester United
Scorers: Smith 42' 67' (P), Nagano 45+2' ; Le Tissier 89'
Liverpool pulled off an impressive victory over Northwest rivals Manchester United at Anfield.
After a deadlock lasted nearly all of the opening interval, Liverpool stunned their visitors with two goals in the dying minutes of the half through Olivia Smith and Fuka Nagano respectively.
While United looked to pull themselves back into the affair after the break, Smith put the dagger in the match with her second of the night, this time from the penalty spot to all but put the game to bed.

A late Maya Le Tissier goal made the scoreline look a bit more respectable for the visitors, but it was merely consolation.
The emphatic victory sees the Reds leapfrog Brighton into 5th place in the WSL, but they remain a full 15 points shy of the top-three.
