Watch live: Trump, Netanyahu give remarks after White House meeting
President Trump and Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu will address the press following a meeting between the two leaders amid a fragile ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas.
Trump welcomed Netanyahu to the White House with their tensions standing in stark contrast to the priority both countries place on the bilateral relationship — including maintaining the temporary pause in fighting and hostage release deal in Gaza; taking steps toward brokering ties between Israel and Saudi Arabia and confronting the threat from Iran.
The visit marks the first official meeting with a foreign leader since Trump returned to the Oval Office last month.
The event is scheduled to begin at 5:10 p.m. EST.
