Watch live: Senate debates Hegseth nomination
The Senate is expected to debate Pete Hegseth's nomination to serve as President Trump's Defense secretary Wednesday afternoon following a procedural vote to advance his nomination.
Republicans are moving ahead on Hegseth’s nomination to lead the Pentagon, with a new report detailing allegations of abusive behavior by the nominee seemingly not dissuading them.
Ahead of the procedural vote Thursday, moderate Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) said she would vote against Hegseth.
