Watch live: NTSB gives update on DCA crash investigation
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is set to provide an update Saturday on the investigation into the recent aircraft collision outside of Reagan Washington National Airport.
More than 40 bodies have been recovered from the icy Potomac River following the Wednesday evening crash between an American Airlines plane and Army Black Hawk helicopter — which killed the 67 people that were onboard both aircrafts. NTSB is leading the investigation.
While many, including President Trump, have tried to point fingers since the tragic incident, the board has urged the public to avoid speculation while the probe is underway.
The Federal Aviation Administration also announced it would restrict helicopter routes in the region following the deadly collision.
The briefing is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. EST from National Airport.
