Watch live: Harris gives 'closing argument' against Trump at Ellipse rally
Vice President Harris is holding a rally in Washington on Tuesday evening, one week before Election Day.
Her remarks from the Ellipse — the same site former President Trump gave his speech ahead of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol — will serve as a final plea to voters to turn the page on Trump and highlight his role in the events of that day.
The National Park Service approved the Harris campaign's permit to rally voters on the National Mall, which is estimated to draw more than 20,000 attendees.
The Hill/Decision Desk HQ's polling aggregate shows the vice president ahead of her GOP rival nationally — 48.6 percent to 47.8 percent.
The event is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. EDT.
