Watch live: Harris expected to rally with Beyonce in Houston
Vice President Harris is campaigning Friday in Houston and may host a rumored special guest: Beyoncé.
The music sensation, who was raised in the city, is expected to attend the rally, according to sources familiar with the event. It is not known if she will perform Friday evening.
The "Texas Hold 'Em" singer also reportedly gave permission this summer to Harris's team to use her 2016 song “Freedom” on the campaign trail. The vice president has leaned into celebrity endorsements this cycle, campaigning in recent days with artists such as James Taylor, Usher, Lizzo and Bruce Springsteen.
With Election Day just over a week away, The Hill/Decision Desk HQ's polling index shows Harris trailing former President Trump by more than 6 points in the Lone Star State. Trump also campaigned in Texas earlier Friday.
The anticipated rally is scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m. EDT.
