Watch live: Democrats speak out against plans for Social Security Administration job cuts

Senate Democrats are sounding the alarm over expected “significant workforce reductions” at the Social Security Administration.
Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (N.Y.), along with Sens. Patty Murray (Wash.) and Ron Wyden (Ore.), the top Democrats on the Appropriations and Finance committees, are holding a press conference Monday to highlight what they call "the Trump administration’s efforts to destroy" the agency.
Reports of looming workforce reductions come as the Trump administration and Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency work to make deep cuts to numerous federal agencies.
The press conference is slated to begin at 4:15 p.m.
